CPD Events
The two worlds of education and business want to get closer, and when they learn from each other and work together it can be inspirational for all involved, from the Reception child to the CEO.
We help schools get into industry and we help industry get back to school, by brokering training opportunities for both.
For teachers it is a chance to learn more about the world of work, and interaction with employers provides them with the opportunity to provide real resources and up to date information in the classroom.
For employers offering visits to teachers or students, it is the chance to showcase their company to potential employees, raise their profile, develop staff, or just simply give something back.
NEBP has offered CPD (continuous professional development) to teachers and linked with major employers such as McDonalds, Royal Bank of Scotland, Smurfitt Kappa and The Chartered Management Institute. NEBP has put together a full CPD Events calendar for 2010, see below. With employers like Novacroft and The Space Centre supporting our programmes this year, we hope to provide opportunities for Diploma and science subject teachers.
